5/17/08 - It's been a while since I've updated this... sorry we've been busy bottling more of the wine!. We're at the Art Fest this weekend in Springfield with 20 wineries and an estimated 10,000 people! The tasting last month was excellent and a great time was had by all. Coming up June 5th is Ladies Night Out where over 1000 ladies dress in pink to raise money for breast cancer research. Everyone in town does something special and you have to check out the chocolate fountain. CLICK HERE FOR INFO! Just a few days prior to that we'll have available our famous Raspberry Ladies Night Out wine. Get it while it lasts! 3/10/08 - We've had a cold winter like everyone else and are looking forward to Spring! We've kept warm by bottling all the wine we made last fall though and many are available now - Blackberry, Calypso, Blueberry, Catawba, Liebfraumilch, Port (2 years old!) and we still have a few bottles of Red Ice. Also we've shceduled a wine tasting for Saturday, April 19th - 5 to 9PM. Everyone is welcome! 1/23/08 - The holidays were really busy here. We sold out of many of our wines. This past fall we made lots of new stuff and much of that will be ready to go very soon. Ready now are some new wines for us...Black Currant, Catawba, Concord, and Piesporter.
12/20/2007 - The holiday party was a lot of fun! Deb from Curds and Whey Cheese Company provided some excellent cheeses to pair with the holiday wines and a good time was had by all. Thank you to all who attended and made it such a great night. 11/10/2007 - The wine tasting was wonderful! We had a nice turn out of people and everybody seemed to love the Ice Wine and Cranberry. Thanks to everyone who made it out! Now it's time to plan another party... Saturday, December 15th from 6PM to 9PM we're having a holiday party so mark your calendars. Details to follow soon. 10/31/2007 - Pumpkin Fest weekend and the Pumpkin Wine were a big hit! We had about 40 cases ready on Thurs before Pumpkin Fest and by Saturday at 3Pm we were sold out. Also people loved the new Cranberry Wine, which will be great for Thanksgiving Dinner - so much better than those cranberries that are strangely shaped like a can! 10/2/2007 - We got approval from the city last night to expand our business and open a Wine Cafe! We're already hard at work moving things around and getting some improvements lined up to facilitate tables and a small kitchen. We hope to at least be serving glasses of wine by the Sycamore Pumpkinfest at the end of the month. 9/19/2007 - This just in - we made it through the Vintage Illinois Festival and are looking forward to relaxing if only for a day! We handed out over 2000 tastes of wine and sold tons of bottles. The Pumpkin wine (new this year) was a real hit. We had many people tell us it was the best they've ever had. We have another batch going so it'll be back in late October just in time for Halloween and the Sycamore Pumpkinfest. 4/2007- Well it's been a long year! The wine is a big hit and were expanding the business this year to be able to make more wine. Thank you to all of our friends for helping us grow. This year we'll be doing three formal wine tastings so make sure you're on the mailing list and we'll send you a notice about times and dates of the tasting. - Or stop in anytime and taste the wine! |
